A new week…

So it’s a new week filled with new homework and new work hours (I get to work over night tomorrow 10pm to 6am on Sunday)  So lots of stuff going on for me.  I decided that I would take a break from homework today and just actually take a day off.  So I’m blogging and listening to podcasts, it’s so nice I kinda forgot how nice!  So that’s what I’ve been doing today.

As far as kit progress for HSKS I finished my handmade object a few weeks ago and I have to make a few other things and order some others, but first I need to get a response back from my questions so that way I can be sure to get something foxyfiberchic likes!  She’s very talents and knits and crochets quite a bit of different projects so I want to get her something she’ll like to work on as well as something she can enjoy for herself.

  2. Walnut and Dragon Heartstring – k. Belatrix Lestrange

I’m almost done with my handmade object for Foxyfiberchick but I haven’t decided what type of yarn or the other bigger item for her and I’m hoping to see her post in the question forums about the yarn and needles.  But steadily working……

Week Four Blogging

So the activity is an essay answer thing about The Hollows and to be honest I don’t have that much time or remember that much detail of the book since I read it in 2 days.  So I’m just going to give you a run down of what’s been going on with me.

I’m posting this using my brand new HP mini and I’m liking it it’s perfect for my online classes, and allows me to blog and keep up on my Raverly pages, groups, and forums.  So it’s pretty much perfect, my only complaint is you can’t change the background picture.  Now why the Windows 7 Starter team decided to delete that from the computer capabilities I don’t know it’s not like that 1 or 1/2 a line of code really took up that much space in the program but I can’t do it.  And it’s frustrating, greatly.

My wonderful husband having decided that with me working 20 to almost 40 hours a week and going to school full time has picked up all the cleaning in the house, and honestly does really well till he decided the few dishes in the sink can wait so right now I’m a little flustered since it’s one of those moments he’s decided to wait, and it’s driving me batty.  He also gave me some new sparklys  since when we got married for my band we could only afford one of those really cheap bands from wal-mart so for going to school and being super/ our first anniversary he bought me a new guard ring to replace the crappy band.  I now own 25 diamonds!  For a girl who never thought she’d have 1 let alone 25 I’m pretty happy with it.   Along with other family news we’ve decided to start trying to get pregnant my depo shot runs out on the 11th and since we both know the possibility that it could take a while for my system to get back to normal I’m not sure how trying will end up.

Other then all that stuff I’m been mostly working and going to school which I enjoy but some days I’ve got to tell you I really just want to lay down and forget about everything and zone.

Blogging Week 2

What 5 things would you not leave home without if you were going into hiding, camping, or running away and WHY.

I would take:

1.  Knit Picks Nickle Plated size 1.5 needles in 24″ two sets for multiple pairs of socks so I don’t get too bored

2.  All my sock yarn

3.  My Knit Kit (the things that kinda look like birth control)

4.  My book on how to knit two socks at once on two circular needles

5.  And a stitch dictionary

And the reason why I would take all this camping is because that way I can knit my the river and I won’t need anything really for a while since I have enough sock yarn to knit probably 50 pairs at the most 20 in the least.  So I could camp for a very, very long time and not have to worry about not having any socks to knit plus I would only need two suitcases one for clothes and the rest for knitting supplies!  Not only that I can’t go with no knitting and sock knitting is really portable!

Homework number 1

So I have been searching everywhere for answers to a questionnaire to get to know everyone this term so far I have 9 out of 10 answered:  Now I have all 10!

  7. Someone who both knits and crochets.  Dannibeez
  8. Someone who has the same favorite color as you.    daisymum (green)

You can find my answers on my Rav. Profile or here in the sidebars!

I really enjoyed this and was kinda anxious because I thought it would take a while but I really enjoyed it.  I rushed to get it done because I work all this week and wanted to make sure I had knitting time too!  I still have a special project to finish for another swap!  I really hope I can get to know people more in my house this time and get more involved but with work and me starting school we’ll just have to see how that goes!

Draco’s Purebloods and Darkarts

This go round of HSKS now were in 12!  We are basing the themes around the new movie to come out in Nov., which I am totally excited for I even have free tickets I’m going to use to go see it!  But anywho back to the original topic of the post, we didn’t get to choose between the four families and we’re placed into them and I was put into Draco’s family which has the colors of emerald and kohl doesn’t that just sound sexy?  I think so I’m looking forward to getting to know our new family seeing as some of the people I don’t know or I don’t know very well.  Well here’s to a new term!

Food Color Dyeing!

I am participating I the Hogwarts Little Bit of Everything swap and each week we have new classes this week is potions and it’s dying yarn!  The assignment was to research a method that would work best for you or describe your already favorite in written form and then for extra credit you had to try out the method that you we’re describing and here’s my finished yarn! Well finished wet yarn anyway.

I got my package!!!!!!

So I received my package today from UPS and I immediately opened it!  And I love every thing in it Penelope!  I’ve never received socks from anyone before so that was such a surprise to get socks!  I love the pattern, what is it?  However I already own the bag pattern so I will gift it to my momma, but since I already had it you know I like it!  The tea smells amazing and the coffee sounds interesting.  Super excited about the chocolate!  And the Spectrspecs made me laugh when I saw them!  Thank you so much for such an awesome kit I’m excited to use everything you sent me!

Here’s some pictures!

Cupcakes for work picnic…..

So I work at McDonald’s and we are having a picnic tomorrow and originally I was just going to back a sheet cake but I was told that the managers ordered a sheet cake, so walking around Safeway I decided I would try my hand a decorating, on cupcakes!  I think they turned out pretty good for my first time ever decorating with tips and icing!  The letter in the middle is an “M”  for McDonald’s.  So here’s a picture of my pretty, pretty lil’ cakes!
